The Bourse Régionale des Valeurs Mobilières (BRVM) has updated the composition of its flagship BRVM 30 index following the quarterly review concluded on July 1, 2025.

Three new stocks—BIIC Benin (BICB), Servair Abidjan (ABJC), and Sicable (CABC)—have been added, replacing Coris Bank International BF (CBIBF), Loterie Nationale du Bénin (LNBB), and Oragroup Togo (ORGT), which were removed.

The update maintains the index at 30 constituents. The BRVM 30 is designed to reflect market liquidity and performance trends of the region’s most actively traded stocks across the WAEMU zone. Notable remaining constituents include Ecobank CI, Orange CI, Sonatel SN, and TotalEnergies Marketing CI.

The revision supports the exchange’s objective of enhancing market representation and liquidity, according to BRVM Director General Dr. Edoh Kossi Amenounve.

Key Takeaways

The quarterly review of the BRVM 30 reflects the BRVM’s aim to maintain an index that best mirrors liquidity and trading volumes in the WAEMU regional market. The inclusion of BIIC BN, Servair Abidjan CI, and Sicable CI signals rising activity or improved compliance with listing criteria, while the removal of Coris Bank, Oragroup, and Loterie Nationale points to potentially lower trading or market capitalization. These changes matter for institutional investors tracking the index, as well as passive funds and ETFs referencing the BRVM 30. Moreover, the refresh ensures continued investor confidence in the index’s integrity and relevance in a maturing regional market.
