Frequently Asked Questions
Got questions?
We can answer them
Daba only allows withdrawals in the same currency as your account balance. If your investments are in XOF (West African CFA Franc), you can only withdraw to XOF-denominated accounts. Direct currency conversion during withdrawal is not currently supported.
What are my options for withdrawing XOF investments?
You have two main options for withdrawing your XOF investments:
Option 1: Withdraw to XOF account in WAEMU region
- Withdraw to your own XOF bank account in any WAEMU (West African Economic and Monetary Union) country
- Withdraw to an XOF account provided by your FX provider such as Western Union
- From there, you can exchange XOF to EUR through your bank or FX provider
Option 2: Use FX provider services
- Many FX providers like Western Union, MoneyGram, or local exchange services offer XOF accounts
- You can withdraw your XOF funds to these accounts
- Then convert XOF to EUR through their services and transfer to your EUR bank account
Which countries are in the WAEMU region for XOF withdrawals?
You can withdraw XOF to bank accounts in the following WAEMU countries:
- Benin
- Burkina Faso
- Côte d’Ivoire
- Guinea-Bissau
- Mali
- Niger
- Senegal
- Togo
Will Daba offer direct XOF to EUR conversion in the future?
Yes! We’re actively working on expanding our FX capabilities through partnerships. When XOF to EUR or XOF to USD conversion becomes available on the platform via our FX providers, you will be able to:
- First swap your XOF balance to EUR or USD within the platform
- Then withdraw directly to your EUR or USD bank account
We’ll notify all customers when this feature becomes available.
What fees are involved in the two-step process?
The total fees depend on your chosen method:
- Daba withdrawal fee: Standard withdrawal fees apply for transferring XOF to your chosen account
- FX conversion fees: Your bank or FX provider will charge their standard conversion rates and fees for XOF to EUR exchange
- Transfer fees: Additional fees may apply for the final transfer to your EUR account
We recommend comparing different FX providers to find the most cost-effective solution for your needs.
How long does the two-step withdrawal process take?
Step 1 (Daba to XOF account): 1-3 business days
Step 2 (XOF to EUR conversion and transfer): Varies by provider, typically 1-5 business days
Total process usually takes 2-8 business days depending on your chosen FX provider and their processing times.
